Hope your all well and enjoying the new program.
As with most new programs comes new challenges and a little soreness as the body tries to adapt to the new demands.
I love the energy in the sessions and we are getting some great rewards as a result.
There is an old saying that says that no amount of training can outdo a bad diet and that is true . I’m not a big fan of the word diet and although I do put people on eating plans that want to feel and look better I don’t call it a diet it’s more of a lifestyle and just because you eat healthy foods doesn’t mean your on a diet .
Most of you know that for me the most important thing about weight loss is metabolism and your either enhancing it or destroying it with your choices of food or training. Hence why Eating whole foods and lifting weights is so important and when your body is ready for it refeeds or free meals / days.
I know to be healthy is the most important and the current trend is to just go for healthy no matter your weight, but that extra weight is always the cause of so many other health issues. You do not have to be perfect, but you can always be better. Your weight is your weight and lighter is usually healthier for so many people.
Have a just show up attitude makes you stronger more resilient and tells your true self that I will never give up and quitting is not an option – Become that person and your future self will thank you for it.
I did a radio program the other day and it surprises me how many woman are still afraid to lift weights because they are scared of getting bigger. NEWSFLASH – Muscle is the structure you like so much when you see a picture of a fit person and want their body and that body is not made from endless hours of cardio . You need to do weights at least three days a week but even one day a week doing it right is better than nothing.
Anyone can get in better shape regardless of your age , genetics or well being oh yeah and your busy schedule . Don’t become that person that gets older, carrying a lot more weight and fades away slowly over the years. Not being able to climb stairs or do so many things and ends up sitting on a chair a much lesser person that they could of been knowing that if only they made different choices life could of been so different and then defend those choices with lame excuses.
Finally be nice in life – What you do each day matters. Be conscious and be aware that you have the power to change your little slice of the universe with every gesture or word. You can a change a persons life or even save a life with the right words gestures or acts of kindness – Be Kind
