One reason so many people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up instead of what they have to gain.
So many people look for that quick fix and regardless of how educated they are, are willing to sacrifice their health or a lot of their hard work chasing quick results.
There is a saying that says “ Patience is a virtue “ which means you can’t force a result and the body will change at it’s speed and timing as long as your doing all the right things. You need to trust the process and when you do that and coax the body and not stress it the results will come.
So be Patient , consistent and embrace the process , otherwise do the opposite, be impatient and you will suffer the consequences which always leads to self sabotage.
People often have goals which initially forms the motivation which creates discipline which later becomes a habit and when you do that consistently over a period of time it becomes a lifestyle. You then do things based on how they make you feel and a question you can ask yourself before you do anything is “ Is what Im about to do or eat etc going to benefit me in some way , am I empowering myself , making myself a better person , creating a better version of myself , becoming stronger , healthier , Will I be a better mum, dad , partner am I creating a better life etc etc . If the answer is yes then your on the right track and the more you do it the better you get at it and that is called the process. The goal might help you kickstart your journey but it’s the process you need to fall in love with which will not only give you the results your after but will enable you to maintain them for life.
